Fast track, competitive players have the option to receive as much as seven hours of tennis instruction a day from top professional instructors.
Golf Daily access to a driving range across the lake and access to the Deer Isle and Castine Country Clubs four days a week makes Robin Hood an excellent destination to learn or improve skills in lifetime sport. Horse Back Riding [View Video] Three instructors teach English equitation to all ability levels. Ring work, trail rides along miles of wooded trails, horse camping, in Acadia National Park, and participation in horse shows create a fun and vibrant riding program. Riders may ride every day if they choose to! Recent trainers include two Colombian National Champion Jumpers.
Thai Kick Boxing [View Video] Former World Champion Nghia Tran transformed our Thai Boxing program into an incredibly popular program over the past five years. Nghia’s sense of excellence, caring, and discipline makes him a role model most campers are attracted to. Nghia has been voted favorite counselor by the campers every summer he’s been with us, for all the right reasons. We are not always able to attract exceptional, world class counselors like Nghia, but we are always dedicated to seeking the best possible staffers.
Rocks & Ropes Our team of certified rock climbers and ropes course instructors inspire campers to take on the challenge of the exhilarating Zip Line Challenge and high ropes course. It is exciting and rewarding to watch campers overcome fears and apprehensions and come away with feelings of satisfaction, increased self-confidence. More advanced climbers go offsite to take on greater challenges offered by Acadia National Park’s Otter Cliffs and other local climbing sites.
Skate Boarding Our state of the art half-pipe skateboard ramp is a challenge many of our more adventurous campers seek out.
Mt. Biking Miles of off-road trails locally, and the carriage paths of Acadia National Park, along with island biking adventures to islands, are wonderful ways to discover the beauty of coastal Maine. We have a large fleet of quality mountain bikes to fit all sizes and ages.
Fencing Foil fencing is the primary fencing taught from introductory to more advanced skill level training. Epee has also been offered. It depends on the instructors we are able to attract.
Riflery Riflery is taught under the careful and watchful supervision of NRA certified instructors. We shoot .22 caliber, single action target rifles.
